Peter Crowther did a PhD in Physics at the University of Bristol, working on the study of the structure of glassy materials. This involved both experimental microscopy and molecular simulation work and the development of new algorithms for processing and analysing the data. Peter now works as a Research Software Engineer at The University of Manchester in the Research IT group, which involves a variety of software engineering projects across the campus and teaching programming courses. Peter’s work in LightForm assists the project in developing sustainable software, focussing on the development of protocols for the collection, storage and publication of data.
